Welcome to his world. Arman...

Some people wake up and scroll through their phones. I wake up and scroll through my goals.

Every morning begins the same for me—not with a lazy yawn or a scroll through social media, but with a sharp focus on the day ahead. The first thing I do as soon as I open my eyes is check my schedule. I believe in control, discipline, and structure. For me, time is more than hours ticking by—it's the foundation of everything I build.

It’s 6 AM. After a quick glance at my planner, I lace up my shoes and head to the gym.
Yeah, I’m a fitness freak. Honestly, I can’t even remember the last time I skipped a gym session. It’s no longer a habit—it’s a way of life now.

Once I finish my workout, I take a good shower to relax after a hard session.

I live with my family.

Many people say I seem like a reserved person, so they assume I live alone. But that’s not true.

I’m reserved for outsiders. With my family, I’m deeply involved and caring. I like to know what’s happening in everyone’s life—

My mom, dad, sister, cousin… and those two idiots who are my so-called friends.

After the shower, I get dressed in my usual formal attire. Rarely do I wear casuals, because my day is always filled with office work.

Yes, my office, built by me and my two so-called friends—who are also my business partners.

As I stepped out, I saw my sister talking to someone.

(Avni—my little sister, my life. She’s 4 years younger than me. I’m 28, she’s 24—but she behaves like the elder one.

She’s a model. At first, I was against it, but seeing the happiness it gives her, I gave my approval.)

Me: "Hi, sister. What are you doing?"

Avni: "Hi bhai, good morning. Again in formals? Try to add some colour to your life, bhai."

(And again, she starts pulling my leg. She always calls me boring and says that’s why I’m still single.

But truth is—I choose to be single. My full focus is on my company and family. I’m not ready to add anyone else to my life right now.)

Me: "Stop talking about my boring life. Tell me, who were you talking to?"

Avni: "My agent. I got a ramp show offer. A brand is launching new designs and they want fresh faces."

Me: "That’s nice. But let me remind you something..."

Avni: "Yeah bhai, I know—I shouldn’t do anything that harms our family or me."

Me: "Nope. You shouldn’t do anything that harms you, because if anything happens to you, only then our family will be affected."

Avni: (smiling) "I love you, bhai."

Me: "Love you too. Let’s go have breakfast."

At the breakfast table

While everyone was eating, my mother was trying to find a way to bring up something.

Dad (Ajay Oberoi): "Just say it."

Mom (Jiya Oberoi): "Umm… I’m thinking how to start..."

Me: "What happened, Maa? You have something to say?"

Jiya: (speaking quickly) "Yes, I got a proposal for you. She’s a nice girl. If you say yes, I’ll schedule a meeting."

(She rushed it, knowing I’d cut her off midway. Smart move.)

Me: "Another proposal? Let me repeat my same answer again.

I’m not ready for marriage. I’m focused on my company. I don’t want any distractions right now."

Jiya: "But Arman, you’re 28. How long are you going to run from marriage?"

(Just then, Dad jumped in.)

Ajay: "You’ve achieved so much. Your company’s doing great. You’re mature enough to take responsibility now.

It’s not always about business. A man should think about life too."

Me: "Dad, you chose business over everything. Let me remind you of that."

(Yes, my dad owns multiple hotels in the city. He was a workaholic and, many times, ignored family.

Because of that, I became a copy of him. Now that he’s retired, my uncle handles the hotels.

Arni and I both chose different careers.)

Ajay: "So you want to walk the same path? I got married too.

Even though I was busy, I tried fulfilling my roles as a husband and father."

Me: "You think you did. Reality was different."

Jiya: "Arman, enough now."

(I picked up my car keys and left.

Avni tried to stop me but looking at my face, she knew it wasn’t the right time.

Everyone knows—when I’m angry, I don’t listen.)

Driving calms me down.

Cars are my second love after business and tech. I’ve started collecting them—I don’t even remember how the obsession started.

I drive alone. It’s my peaceful time before getting surrounded by people at the office.

I reached office and handed my keys to my assistant, Vikram.

He knows my work style—makes everything easier.

Vikram: "Hello sir, good morning."

Me: "Good morning."

Vikram: "Today’s schedule is sent. First meeting is in an hour about the new app launch.

Here’s your coffee and the app files. Let me know if you need anything."

Me: "Thanks, Vikram."

I enjoyed my coffee in my cabin while going through the app report.

I’m really excited for this app. It could bring us major success.

Just as I finished reading the file, the door opened.

Only two people can enter without knocking—Kunal and Sanjay—my friends and business partners.

Kunal: "Hi Mr. Bore!"

Sanjay: "Hahaha! Look who’s talking!"

Me: "Don’t you guys have new material? Same lame jokes every day."

Kunal: "Do you have anything new? Same work 24x7, you workaholic!"

Sanjay: "Seriously bro, gotta agree—you’re boring."

Just then, we heard a knock.

Vikram: "Sir, we’re ready for the meeting."

I stood up, buttoned my coat, and walked to the meeting room.

Everyone was already seated.

Kunal and Sanjay took their seats, and I sat in the middle chair—where a CEO belongs.

We spent two hours discussing the new app.

A few tech corrections were noted, and once fixed, we’ll move ahead.

But it’s a long process—tech takes time, and I’m a perfectionist.

So yes, it’ll take time, but it’ll be worth it.

After the meeting, I checked my phone—there was a message from Avni:

"Hey bro... After today’s breakfast battle, I have good news! I got the ramp show. I’ll be walking as a showstopper for their new line."

A smile formed on my face. I knew how hard she was working.

I could’ve helped—but she never accepts help. She wants to earn it.

And I respect that.

I replied:

"Happy for you, sis. I knew you’d get it!"

She replied almost instantly:

"Thanks bhai! You have to come, okay? I want you to see me chasing my dreams!"

Truthfully, such events aren’t my thing. But for my little sister—I’ll be there.

I know our parents won’t go. They prefer staying home or searching for my next “match.”

So it’s on me to show up for her.

I didn’t reply. Just slipped my phone into my coat pocket and walked back into my cabin.

But another notification lit up.

It was Avni again—she’d sent me the invitation for her show.
